MEMBER'S ONLY TECHNICAL AND DEVELOPMENT TRAINING SESSIONS:
This year, the Kodokan Judo Association has decided to hold some Technical and Development Training Days in lieu of competitions. The idea of the training sessions is for Association members only and will consist of technical/competition sessions as well as randori in Ne Waza (groundwork) and Tachi Waza (standup techniques).
The training days will run over a 3 hour period with a lunch break in between, please bring own lunch and snacks. As a members only session, the cost to attend will be $10 each and is designed for players of all ages. Younger players will be separated from the older players for some sessions so people can practice with other players of like size and experience.
The expected benefits of these days is to get novice players involved in an attempt to build their self confidence and encourage them to enter tournaments, and to build on the experience base of those who already compete.
A number of different Sensei's will participate on the day to provide their expertise in different areas. The day is designed to be, not only informative, but fun as well.
Drop and go is acceptable.
The first Technical and Development day is going to be held on the Sunday 14th July 2024 at the Seacliff Judo Club starting at 10am.
The second one will be held on Sunday 24th November 2024 - venue to be confirmed.
